AFA 2011: New friends, more figurines and an epic Kalafina concert

Review: Mai-Otome

Although it has some of the characters from Mai-Hime (Another anime series), this isn’t a sequel! Rather, it’s a different story that is happening in an alternate-universe of Mai-Hime.

Hehe… You must think that I watched Mai-Hime before I started this series right? Wrong, I saw this anime on Omni-san’s animeblog (used to be Omni’s, Divine has now taken over ownership), at first I thought that this must be those “yuri” type anime, but I decided to give it a try anyway, it wasn’t bad at all… I found it to be quite interesting :)

Kara no Kyoukai: The Garden of Sinners (M18) BD Box First Impressions

Fans around the globe are snapping up copies of the Kara no Kyoukai: The Garden of Sinners BD Box like hotcakes, undeterred by the JPY52,500 (US$629) price tag. According to Anime News Network, 25,000 copies of the Blu-ray were sold during the period of January 31 – February 6, landing it at the weekly #2 spot for Oricon’s top-selling Blu-ray charts.
