J-Pop / J-Rock / anisong fans in Singapore has quite a bit to look forward to this year in terms of live events and concerts, with a number of big name bands and singers coming down to S’pore (as well as other parts of Southeast Asia) as part of their itinerary. So, in chronological order, these are some of the concerts that we can look forward to this year… after the jump of course.

Nakagawa Shoko Asia Tour 2012
Singer, seiyuu, cosplay and talent extraordinaire Nakagawa Shoko, otherwise better known as “Shokotan”, will be coming to Singapore as part of her Asia Tour. Shokotan last appeared on our shores at the 2010 edition of AFA.
As of now, she will be touring five cities, which are:
Hong Kong (July 7-8, 2012)
Taipei (July 22, 2012)
Singapore (August 5, 2012)
Shanghai (August 31, 2012)
Guangzhou (September 2, 2012)
No information is available regarding venue or ticket sales as of yet.
Thoughts: The L’Arc~en~Ciel concert is a given for me, just a matter of which ticket tier I’ll opt for. A friend of mine is still trying to convince me to got for the WEAVER concert, which I am still undecided (and also indicates that he needs to try harder to convince me to go). For Shokotan, I’ll make a decision once more information regarding venue and pricing is available.
