The official website for Gundam 00 has announced that the Mobile Suit Gundam 00 the Movie: A wakening of the Trailblazer will open on September 18th. Meanwhile, the final (12th) volume of Shoji Gatoh’s Full Metal Panic! novels is dated for August. Gatoh had earlier announced in a blog entry on friday that the 12th volume will be published right after the 11th volume, which is dated July 17th.

Live-action Gantz films confirmed for Singapore

Japanese newspaper Sports Hochi has reported that the Gantz live-action films will be screened in Singapore. Both films have yet to be previewed or completed but are slated for a 2011 release (IMDb lists Gantz: Part 1 as being in post-production with Part 2 still in filming).

Life-size Evangelion bust at Mount Fuji

Japan’s Fuji-Q Highland amusement park announced on Wednesday that they will be opening a new Evangelion-themed pavilion on July 23. Called “Evangelion: World – Life-Size EVA-01 Construction Project”, it will house the world’s first life-sized recreation of the scene where main character Shinji Ikari meets Unit 01 for the first time, with a mock-up of the Evangelion from the bust up. Yes…perhaps it is time for me to upgrade to Windows 7…
For those who don’t know, that’s Nanami Madobe, Windows 7′s official mascot character voiced by Nana Mizuki. The Nanami Madobe customization theme has been available in the Japanese premium sets of the Windows 7 Ultimate Edition operating system.
DK says: Sadly Nanami is only available with the Japanese region of Windows 7. I suppose if we’re willing to do some sort of crash course in the language, this might be an option.
I do like that Nanami is the first OS-tan-esque character to be featured as an official mascot. I suppose ME-tan is too embarrassing for Microsoft.
Also because I know some people might be wondering, the storekeeper in the video is voiced by Daisuke Namikawa.
