The January 6th 2010 issue of Weekly Shounen Sunday is announcing the production of a Zettai Karen Children OVA.
Zettai Karen Children is a manga series by Takeshi Shiina (Ghost Sweeper Mikami). It revolves around three espers, Kaoru Akashi, Aoi Nogami and Shiho Sannomiya, each with their own unique ESP powers. They form a special ops team called “The Children” and work for the Base of Backing ESP Laboratory (B.A.B.E.L.), an organisation dedicated to appraising, identifying, nurturing, and protecting espers. Together with their handler, Kōichi Minamoto, they battle extremist organisations P.A.N.D.R.A and Black Phantom as well as trying to prevent a future war between espers and normals. The series was previously adapted as a 51 episode anime in 2008.
The OVA is confirmed for release in 2010 and will feature the junior high arc after the two year time skip at the end of the anime and volume 15 of the manga.

Thoughts: While I haven’t watched the anime, I really love the manga series and the jokes leave me in stitches every time (Chapter 110 is my favourite). From what I heard from dkellis, the anime is a faithful adaptation of the manga save for a few episodes. Without a doubt, one of the animes’ which I really look forward to in 2010.
